Hollywood is rolling out the welcome mat for one of Las Vegas’ most popular gambling influencers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an independent feature film is in development about Stephen Matt Morrow—known to more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers as Vegas Matt—marking the latest sign of mainstream entertainment’s growing fascination with casino content creation.
While traditional advantage play—a strategy-driven niche where gamblers use math and timing to tilt the odds—has long fascinated casinos, Hollywood is expanding its lens to include the modern world of slot influencers and casino content creators.

“The big change is that technology can increasingly provide the infrastructure,” he says. “The creator provides the idea. And I think that will make the industry much more interesting.”
For Yggdrasil, Game in a Box and Studio in a Box are therefore intended to become more than tools for its own development operation. Curwen envisages them supporting a wider creator ecosystem, although he acknowledges that proving the model commercially must come first.
“We’re still early,” he says. “The priority is to prove the model properly; make sure the games perform and demonstrate that it works commercially. If we do that, I think the opportunity is significant.”

This is Midnite’s third ASA ruling this year. Last month, the operator came under scrutiny for an ad that suggested that “gambling was an escape from personal problems”. The ASA received 125 complaints on the offending ad and the company was ordered to remove the advertisement.
Another June ruling was not upheld.
In a separate case, the ASA examined display advertising for White Hat Gaming’s Casimba and The Grand Ivy Casino brands, which had appeared on HLTV.org – a specialist Counter-Strike 2 e-sports website – in March 2026.
